I can't agree with Stanton.... To me this book is less interesting and in parts even boring. I can't say that about Careless love. Still this is the best book I ever read about Elvis' pre-army years.

In my opinion the best biography ever written about Elvis, it has depth & the real Elvis vertually leaps from the pages, it will always be in my top ten Elvis books.

Such a masterpiece...it`s a shame "Careless love" has not even a tiny bit of charm and feeling left from this fantastic book...
