Isn't the "arm windmill" footage taken from his 1957 Tupelo show? Because that footage is professional quality. Only it lacks sound.

There is footage of Elvis' Canadian "Jailhouse Rock" concert when he was doing the "arm windmill" & "rubber legs",why haven't we ever seen the full concert of this,just like we have never seen the alternative ending to "Loving You" this will go on for ever.Someone has it (apart from Yoko Ono) but they just won't share it with us !
The nearest I got to this was Shakin' Stevens a British R&R singer when he played Elvis on stage,and Shaky was very good. Also Billy Fury an English singer from Liverpool who met Elvis while making Girls Girls Girls did a good version of Jailhouse Rock.

This was Elvis at his peak. As for Parker, in a way he was an idiot not to see the potential for recording a live 50's show especially if he had it in the back of his mind to eventually stop the touring and just do movies. He had no sense of history or artistry, just market the product the cheapest way possible to obtain the quick profit. Recording these shows would have been an extra expense, so it probably never even crossed his mind. Plus Scotty, DJ, & Bill would have to be paid more for a live album and that just didnt sit well with him. Our loss.
it wasn't impossible to record them in good quality. see Newport Jazz Festival 58 has excellent recordings. My guess: Parker just wasn't interested in it, I guess Presely was pure business to him. Quick buck and merchandising articles. Guess it was not about talent, it was about dollars, to contract the young singer.
Oh to be transported back in time ! This was Elvis at his best imo,these concerts should have been recorded / taped.
