Young Man Nominated

December 02, 2011 | Music

The 5CD set "Young Man With The Big Beat: The Complete '56 Elvis Presley Masters" has been nominated for Best Historical Album. Let's hope the album wins! The trouble is that Paul McCartney always seems to win everything he is nominated for as he always appears to collect the Award in person and that adds kudos to the show.

No "trouble". Sir Paul is cool. His latest (classical) record "Ocean's Kingdom" is awesome!

Yeah, it's the Grammy's. Sir Paul is nominated for the "Band On The Run"-reissue.

Actually James Burton and Scotty Moore are in the top 100 list. I believe 19th and 29th but I could be wrong on the numbers but they are in the top 100 but it is still bogus as Willie Nelson is in it at 77th but know John Fogerty, Brian Seltzer, Glen Campbell or Johnny Rivers. I do hope Elvis wins the grammy but Paul McCartney is tough competition. I have seen him in concert and he was great but Elvis is much better.

ok, getting away from Cool Paul ( haven't laughed so much in ages ). It's a good release and i really hopes it wins an award but i think MRS have shown things can be done a lot better and at a fraction of the price. The concert should have been released as an FTD without the addition of the official 56 recordings which are already out there.

Fantastic news. Elvis should win this one. Apparently this Award will NOT be part of the televised Grammy Show on 12th February, 2012 so it is more than likely McCartney will not be in the frame for attending.

Forget about this box, Elvis should be given a special grammy in recognition of his contributuions to music. To think that he only has grammys for gospel is nonsense. Its long overdue.
