March 03, 2005 | Other
The UK Newspaper "Sheffield Today" has a quiz in which you can win VIP tickets for "Elvis The Concert". Here is the article:

Elvis Presley left the building almost 30-years ago - with his untimely death, back in 1977. But we have VIP tickets to be won to see his larger than life comeback at Sheffield’s Hallam FM Arena on Saturday, April 30.

Elvis - The Concert, celebrating what would have been his 70th birthday year, features video footage of him performing live from the early 1970s, projected onto big screens above the stage.

The producers have removed virtually all sound from the film except for the great man’s voice. And performing the music live on stage is a 16-piece orchestra including a group of original Elvis bandmates and backing singers.

The tour has including Elvis backing groups The Sweet Inspirations, JD Sumner and the Stamps Quartet, The Imperials, Voice and the TCB Band. Elvis performed over 1,000 concerts before an estimated audience of 20 million fans, but he never realised his ambition to appear in the United Kingdom. Today’s technology is now making the dream come true.

For your chance to win a pair of VIP box tickets collect two of the tokens we are printing in The Star between Tuesday, March 8 and Thursday, March 10, 2005.
Attach them to the entry form we will also print, with full terms and conditions, on the last two days.

James Burton told me that new songs had been added when I saw him a few weeks ago. He didn't say what the songs were but he is very excited about it.

I`ve seen the show twice. Once in San Francisco, where I live & once in Memphis, Tennessee. Priscilla & Lisa Marie were at the Memphis show, on stage. It is a fantastic experience. I`ve seen Elvis in person many times. The first was his comeback in Las Vegas in 1969. If you`ve never seen Elvis in person, this show is as close as it gets. The advertisement on line says, J.D. Sumner will be there, I doubt that, since he died years ago, but the Stamps will be there. Great show, don`t miss it.
