1956 The year we heard the "Big Bang" of Rock 'n' Roll. No other time in the history of popular music was quite as significant. The arrival of Elvis Presley on the world stage was absolutely astounding. We now know all about the subsequent reactions of the general public, the hysterical outbursts from the media and the uncritical adulation of the young. No wonder the History Channel finds the event important! It's lovely to see "Heartbreak Hotel" in the charts for the occasion, and news of the Elvis Presley Festival in Tupelo, coming a few months before the Elvis Week in Memphis, in 2006! Great Elvis news indeed, even here in Irelandtoo.

i would rather a dvd come out showing all 3 complete shows that elvis was on, especially all the songs from the 'rare' 3rd show without any talking over them.

Watched it, didnt like it. They skiped around to much. Felt they should have stayed on Elvis and then talked about the inpack of all the other people.
