If you've ever thought of exaggerating a crash claim, look out - Big Brother could be watching you. Car insurer e-sure is using "spy in the sky" technology to check claimants' stories.
Yesterday the firm began running a pilot test for ELVIS - Electronic Location Viewing System. It enables staff to judge claims where distances and road markings play a role.
Using a computer, they can zoom in on aerial photos of accident scenes - down to road marking level. The system can even "place" cars on a photo so distances can be measured to the nearest six inches.
