Perhaps the reason why no footage of recent troubles could be used in the video is because accusations would be made by the various pro/anti war groups of political bias, etc. I'm sure BMG & EPE could do without that kind of hassle.
As Elvis said: "I'm Just an entertainer and I'd rather keep my own personal views about that to myself".

Everyone is right about the song that it meaning even more so today i would like every much to see a singe with a video with the money going to help those that have been hurt by the war and those who are suffering look what the 3 song cd America The Beauitful Did

The message has more meaning today than it did in 68. With Elvis wearing the leather suit mixed in, this would be a big hit if it received a major promotion campaign. Maybe the Olympics, with alot of advertizing surrounding the event..Like I said before, Elvis will succeed where politics fail..

I've watched it. I like it. I think it's well done. But it's not something I can't live without. I don't see myself watching it over and over. I do agree that the song should be released
(re-released)? as a single. It's message is just as powerful/meaningful today as it was when Elvis recorded it in '68.

yes Abidaslam1. This would be a great single fitting wonderful into our present time. Looking into Elvis face und listening to his unique voice you get the impression that each line comes from the bottom of his heart.

Why don't they release If I Can Dream as a single and modify the video by putting in contemporary clips of the war and suffering in the world today.
