Warhol's Triple Elvis Up For Auction

The Rago Arts and Auction Center holds its spring sale of Post-War and Contemporary Art. Session One (Saturday, May 19th at 3 PM) features a significant selection of work from prominent artists of the latter-half of the twentieth century. Part of the auction is a rare triple Andy Warhol Elvis 1964 (1968). Catalogues are available in print and online in early May and can be ordered at ragoarts.com.

It's great only because Elvis is!! Flaming Star gave him another chance to do a dramatic role, and of course he was terrific in it! Too bad it has been so underrated. It should be re-released since the issue of discrimination against Indians is still huge today. Elvis was part Cherokee so this role meant a lot to him. Change of Habit should be re-released as well with all the TV coverage on autism now. That scene of him with the autistic girl fighting him on his lap is particularly poignant...

Good point on the autism. In 1969, I didnt even know what autism was. Bravo to Change Of Habit for having this topic in a film back then. Yes today that scene with the girl will hit home to many people who deal with this disease. Elvis again ahead of the curve!
