We are aware that there were some problems with the server. According to our provider the server was under an DOS-attack. The result was that the site was unavailable at certain times.

It seems that someone does not like us or another site on the server this site is hosted on. The problem has our, and our providers attention. Hopefully all problems will be solved soon.

Sorry to here of the data loss. I wonder how often you are aware that your site is down in general, whether you have access to that info or whether you look at it if you do. More times than not, and that isn't exagerating, the site page either displays "service unavailable" or "page not found" or a completely blank page of nothing.

In a period from just today from approx 5.00pm to 6.30 pm when I tried to view the site is was "Service unavailable."

I know you've moved from server to server in the past and changed hosts more times than you'd want to, but I was hoping that it was going to be for the better each time, not worse.

I know it's awkward. I'm not really criticising just making an observation, but I personally would like to see the administrators of this site acknowledge the problems so at least we know you are aware and then put forward the basics of any ongoing proposals you might have that will address the situation.

I look forawrd to a positive response. You have my details if you need to respond directly and not on here, and if you wish I may be able to provide a suggestion that might help.
