Manny Cortez, president of the Las Vegas Visitors and Convention Authority, said efforts to acquire Elvis Presley's hit song have flickered out. The price tag too steep for use of Elvis' hit song "We tried to get the rights to it (from Presley's estate) but it's just too expensive -- more than six figures," said Cortez, who heads the promotional body that spends $40 million a year to attract tourists. The search is on for "something to incorporate in our advertising and be our signature song," said Cortez.
