Very Sad 'Elvis' News

November 14, 2002 | Other
The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority approved a one-year contract extension with talent agencies that book "meet and greet" Elvis Presley impersonators for the authority's marketing events.

Elvis impersonators will continue to get $650 per daily appearance on behalf of the city where the rock 'n' roll icon never really left the building. The amount is nearly double the $350 that showgirls receive for similar four-hour gigs.

Is this something the man who put Las Vegas on the map deserves?
