GRIBZ, I think "only three million" is an amazing number. Look back in the 90's and see what Elvis "escapes" did. Elvis has had a amazing run of chart success in the 2000's. I do think BMG could have done more for "2nd to None," but, still it has been a success.

Since there seemed to be so little BMG/RCA attention paid to it in the first place, I hesitate to use the phrase "re-promote it," but that's exactly what the record company should do vis-a-vis "2nd To None." As Steve B suggested, 3-million sales worldwide is indeed great when compared to the way things were done throughout most of the '90s (not to mention the '70s and '80s). But I also have to agree with gribz on two very important points: "2nd's" track line-up is truly second to none in terms of quality and variety, and the upcoming 50th anniversary celebration presents BMG/RCA with an ideal second chance to pump added commercial life into this terrific compilation. A solid blast of summer promo might very well double "2nd's" current sales figures. Let's hope they go for it!

Smudge! Your funny, we have over 500 record stores in Canada, which does not include cd's sold at Wal-Mart, Zellers, and other Supermarkets. We have record stores such as HMV,, Music World, Archambault, Tower Records and so on. And like Kenneth said we support Elvis all the way. Have a good day.

All is O'K with the chart listings, with the exception of '2nd to none'. This was never promoted properly, because the songs are invcredible, and the CD should be a close "2nd", to Elvis30's. However Elvis 30's sold 10 million world-wide, and I don't think '2nd to none' is at 3 million world-wide yet, and that is ashame..Hopefully, the 50th Anniv. will give it the attention it needs.

True, but this is an important time for Elvis. There is a shift in music taste, that hints at the possibility for Elvis to make an even greater leap into the consciousness of the world. With the 50th Anniv of R&R only a few months away, I am hoping EPE and BMG do all that is necessary to facilitate this process.

Is there only one music store in Canada? I say this because a few years ago Elton John' Diana Tribute was No1 for about 2 years and now Elvis 30#1's has been on the Country charts for 78 wks! I have visions of people queing up to by the aforementioned cd's and the que is 30 miles long, and everybody is waiting to get theirs from this one store!
