In an update on the availability of the UK #1 re-issue releases EPE also mentioned the following: "Fans outside the UK wanting to get the reissued singles for your collection, relax and watch for upcoming information about the international roll-out of the Elvis singles program scheduled for later this year."

Always the same! They are thinking heck if we press more for the UK and they don`t sell, which they now probably won`t, we`ll sling them out to the rest of the planet. Good business! These extra pressings will now take away the desire for punters to obtain them as soon as they are released added to this the independant record stores, hmv sales assistants and the horders will now not get copies to sell on ebay as they won`t get top dollar. therefore the chances of a number 1 have diminished as sales will be spread. To be honest I think BMG were right in their initial decision to press 30,000 as really this is all they will sell, it was the ebayers that made them scarce. Now they won`t want them we`ll have the extra pressings and loads will go unsold. hence the worldwide roll-out. On a positive note I`ll now be able to fill my box. This has all been a right cock up but it is greed on the ebayers part and not BMG, though maybe they could have distributed the singles more evenly and stopped ebayers getting hold of them. Alls well that ends well!

My bet is BMG will iniate a brand new singles program keyed off the U.S.A. releases that extends beyond just the 18 No. 1 U.K. releases. Who knows, eventually they may expand it to the Extended Plays, etc. There will be plenty to spend your money on!

In Finland the singles box will be available in May. The singles will only be available as a complete box, they will not be sold individually.

As I heard the news the 18 #1 singles box will be sold in Austria in May, in complete form not individually. TCB.

Sell the singles to NON-UK Fans - should read the title!! Mind you, it would be nice if the UK fans could buy these singles let alone the rest of the world. I for one have given up trying to buy these singles, everywhere is sold out. I think Sony/BMG only pressed 5 copies not 30,000.

I never write my views on forums like this but i just have to now voice my views on the 18#1s situation and the abuse BMG and in the end Elvis is getting. The idea of the promotion was to get Elvis back in the charts (something all fans must want). The UK charts are so mad these days that if a record doesn't go into number one then it will never make number one, making the first week's sales the most important. by BMG releasing the singles in limited numbers people have been buying them straight away, thus the sales numbers have been high and so far we have had two number ones and a number two single-Elvis is back! if the singles were released in high numbers, how many people wouldn't buy the record this week because of "what ever" and buy it the week after, then elvis would have been number 8,9 or 10 not number one. i buy of e-bay and just as fed up as the rest of you of all the sellers selling copies of the singles they have got "under the counter" et all but don't go blaming bmg for what shops sell. i was one of the lucky ones who got the singles ordered on hmv online and get my singles every week on the monday. a friend of my mothers who wanted them asked me to order them but by then hmv had stopped all preorders so i ordered them on amazonuk, but they couldn't despatch them. this week bmg said they would release more copies of the singles, and most people moaned saying it wouldn't happen, well my mum's friend is chuffed to bits, why? because amazon have dispatched her copy of "one night" yes "one night" wonder where they got that copy from? Those who wait get what they want, i so wish i had every elvis cd i want but i don't, but i'm a collector (i'm only 29 and have only been collecting for 3 years)and i some times have to wait for what i want. My point to this mail is i hope bmg "still" releases each single in limited number -lets get our man in the top 5 every week, and then after a few weeks the unlimited cd's come out, you can buy them and the ebay greeds can go to hell! Good luck to all, and remember elvis is king and the record company must care, cos mu mum's friend is so in "one night" today!

at last someone who talks sense . dead right pj it is superb marketing and gets elvis back where he should be . i hate the e-bay situation and the money hawkers but they couldn,t sell things people dont want to buy i say blame the megastores and there handling of the situation ,to me they underestimated his popularity and for the moment we have to pay . but is it not worth it when you see the charts every week . i think so

I do agree with you pj and daz about the singles being limited in the uk.But If A Fool such As I only sold 20,002 last week what happened to the missing singles which is another 9,998 ? The ebay cant have them all ! Maybe I should call Miss Maple she might be interested in this case. ha ha
