Here are the UK sales figures for last week's singles according to a post from the official Steve Brookstein's forum site.

"Jailhouse Rock" sold 21,262 copies, making this the lowest weekly and 1st week sale for a #1 ever (another record for Elvis). "All Shook Up" sold 17,624 copies which would list this single at #2 if it had eligable for the chart. The number of sold singles for the #2 single by Steve Brookstein were not mentioned. Iron Maiden's #3 sold 14,279 copies.

simple rob. non elvis fans who only liked jr. got my copy of one night this afternoon, at woolies, the only one in the store.

DDh but wouldent they just spend a little extra and buy a cheap compilation with JR on it ? but then they r non elvis fans, not too smart lol

Maybe it's because some people bought more than one copy of JR to help boost sales.

The box was still selling stong, it seems to be sold out also now.

That would have been great to have seen Jailhouse Rock and All shook up at number one and two in the charts. Its a pity All shook up was a box set
