At least, twice a year, faithfully, (Elvis Birthday & Elvis week) the TCM channel broadcasts a marathon of Elvis movies. And I Thank them for doing this and presenting the movies in full Letterbox quality. It was a joy to watch the movies ! Keep up the excellent work !

I saved Elvis on Tour and Jailhouse Rock on my DVR. Already finished Elvis on Tour yesterday. Ever since Ted Turner gave up colorizing movies once and for all, TCM has always done it right. That's why I used the DVR to record those even though I have them on disc already. Robert Osborne is a great host supplied with plenty of nuggets of information. It's nice that at least one channel gives Elvis his due when the time comes.

Though I have them on DVD I watched them and as usual enjoyed them. There are so many musical movies and even non sense movies that I appreciate them. It is light entertainment and that is what we sometimes need in life and especially now-a-days when times are rough. I appreciate that TCM amongst others select Elvis Movies these days!

Since Turner seems to only show MGM movies, they should ban them all except for J Rock, Viva, and the 2 documentaries. The rest are all cheesy , awful affairs. I cant tell you how much abuse I took from my friends this week! I cant even sit through them myself, so I had no argument.
