Tuesday Chart Update - A UK #1 Single After All

August 28, 2007 | Music
The Memphis Recording Service release "My Baby Left Me" rockets up to #1 from last week's #16 in the UK Top 30 Indie Singles chart this week. Very interesting. "Blue Suede Shoes" was #1 on the UK Physical Sales Chart for week ending 26th August. Just goes to show the negative effect of 'downloading' on Elvis' chart chances.

The UK midweek sales chart show that "Hound Dog" is currently at #5 while "Blue Suede Shoes", "My Baby Left Me" and "Suspicious Minds" have all dropped out of the Top 40. On the album chart, ‘Elvis The King’ drops to #4.

In Germany Elvis hit #1 on the Album chart with "The King" compilation (#10 last week).

Elvis is back in the Top Ten in Norway; "That's The Way It Is" is #5 from #6 on the Music DVD chart.

"That's The Way It Is" is listed at #13 coming up from last week's #20 in its second week of release on the Hungarian Music DVD Top 20.

In Brazil the "'68 Comeback Special" enters the Music DVD Top 20 at #20 this week.

Great to see Elvis doing so well in north America , Europe & down under . It would be also interesting to have some charts info from central/south America , the far east (Japan , Singapore..) & South Africa.

Also, this week Elvis holds down the top two positions on the UK 12" Singles Chart. "Blue Suede Shoes" is at No1 and "My Baby Left Me" is at No2.
