Change out of £11.00 at Amazon got to be worth a purchase.

You can order this for under $15 online . A great buy .I've decided to go for the deluxe version. "That's The Way It Is" is one of my favorite Elvis events from the 70's . So needless to say it will be nice to get a box set commemorating it . I heard that Vic Anessi has re- mixed and re-mastered each of the concerts so that there's continuity within the set, and I'm sure they'll sound great. Still, if you can't afford the big set this is a nice alternative.

I can afford it. But I don't care to lay out big bucks for an overpriced set that comes in an oversized package that I have no room to store. Not to mention, the set contains nothing I don't already own, save for the two unreleased concerts. One of which is being made available in the much cheaper 2 disc alternative. And I'll bet the other one will turn up at a later date on another release. If not, I can live without it.

The "Legacy On Stage In Memphis" Double-CD cost 10 Euros and less on Amazon. If two CDs are 10 Euro, why is the 8 CDs Deluxe Version 120 Euros?

I would have bought the 8 cd box but as there is not bluray (why !!!) so I'll buy this legacy 2 cd release instead.

Whether or not I buy the TTWII 2 CD Legacy edition will depend on who done the mixing/mastering work. Has anyone heard?

I recall vividly the thrill I had when I saw the movie/show in the theatre. I collected all there is and have some parts trice or more. By now I decided not to spend so much on the 8cd/dvd box as for me it is too much for nothing extra. No upgrade on the dvd either. So I leave this one for the starters :) Also this legacy edition holds nothing new. One has to be careful now-a-days how to spend the money.

I agree with those who have stated that there isn't much that 's new on the 8 CD box set. And also I agree that it's expensive . But for me , the idea of getting all of the TTWII material in one place with new mixes and mastering by Vic Anessi Plus an LP sized book makes it worth purchasing . Like some who've posted here I'm not crazy about getting DVD's since I'll be getting the TTWII Blu-ray set.(which will have some new material, and so should the DVDs included with this set). I'm also not crazy about the packaging style which will house the "expensive" discs in cardboard slots , but on balance it will be worth it to relive TTWII both audio and video, with this deluxe set. One thing I should mention : I don't intend to spend anywhere near $200.00 for the 8 disc set. I'll shop around places like Import CD , Deep Discount DVD, CD Universe etc. until I get a really good price . I hope Sony compiles box sets like this on other Elvis career highlights like 1960 and 1969 - we've already gotten 1956. And just to get back to the original topic , I still think the 2 disc Legacy set is a good idea , bringing the original album plus a whole unreleased concert back to retail at a bargain price .

I am a little bit confused with the DVDs that are included in this set, does anyone know if it will feature the new 2014 remastered version that is currently showing in US cinemas or will we have to buy the bluray disc that is coming out in August ?
JerryNodak wrote on July 23, 2014
The DVDs featured in the TTWII super set are the same ones issued by Warner in 2007. To get the new 2014 version you'll have to buy the new Blu ray version coming out in August.
