Something went terribly wrong with this release. With all those Country Stars it didn't even made the top 10 in Country Charts and the top 20 in the pop charts! Someone is sleeping, or forgot to make his homework. To sell 6269 units in it’s 2 week, is an absurd in a 50 States Country like the USA. It’s less than 126 copies per state! You have to ask SONY/BMG: WHAT HAPPENED?

Im really surprised by these #s! I thought this had potential for possibly reaching #1. RCA should have waited until Thanksgiving week to distribute the CD. Not many people looking for Christmas music quite this early.

I'm surprised at the low numbers too, but then again maybe there is a reson. I went to a Walmart store and asked for the 'Elvis Christmas Duets album' and all I got was a blank stare and a "never heard of it" (btw, this was yesterday). So, it can't sell if a big outlet like Walmart is not even stocking it. However, I went on the Walmart web site and ordered one on-line...go figure!

Sony are in serious financial difficulties and are obviously not prepared to spend money on promoting a dead artist. In my opinion the best thing for Elvis' recording legacy would be for another label to buy him out. Looking at the Billboard Top 100 Album Chart Sony have extremely little going for them at present. Elvis Presley Enterprises (Priscilla and Lisa) need to look urgently at this matter and attempt to do something about a deteriorating situation. Don't forget Sony are not even interested in updating Elvis' record sales thereby letting other artists leapfrog over him. As a fan since 1956 I am far from satisfied with the situation.

yes duets and remixes seem to be the only strategies to keep Elvis still alive..

Another label buying him out 30 years after his death is a liitle too late for me. It should have happened in 1970. The marketing of Elvis really seemed to get bad in the 70's. As for this CD, I have not seen one promo ad for it, so how is it supposed to sell? yes it had the potential especially in the country market, but without TV or radio ads, a CD is DOA. Also many radio stations have adapted an all Christams format starting in November so this CD prob did come out a liitle too early to have an impact. Someone indeed did not do their homework.
