Thomas Kuncl Died

The top-selling issue ever of the National Enquirer featured a cover photo of Elvis Presley laid out in his casket, and veteran tabloid journalist Thomas Kuncl was the man who finagled it. "The thing that really catapulted him as a tabloid reporter... was that he led the team on the Elvis death story," said his former wife, Tish Taylor of Jensen Beach.

Mr. Kuncl's own death came on Thursday from heart failure at age 63. He lived in Stuart, where a memorial service was conducted on Saturday. We wonder if a picture of Mr. Kuncl in his casket on the cover of the National Enquirer will help the sales...
