The Great Performances DVD Update

April 10, 2002 | Video
Last week we mentioned the release of three DVD's of the "Legendary Performances" on DVD in Belgium and The Netherlands. It looks like the two videos series are now extended to three DVD's. This series contains a mix of official, candid, life and home made footage of Elvis. The DVD's have a 60 minutes runtime and will cost about 15 Euro.

The series contains great moments from every part of Elvis career. Volume 1: Center Stage contains footage of Elvis performing Money Honey, Hound Dog, Love Me Tender, Heartbreak Hotel, Ready Teddy, Teddy Bear, Jailhouse Rock, Guitar Man, Suspicious Minds and even "Unchained Melody" from the 1977 CBS show and Paramount screen tests.
Volume 2: The Man and His Music contains footage from Elvis and home movies and American Trilogy, Blue Suede Shoes, Don't Be Cruel, Got A Lot Of Livin' To Do, Trouble, Mean Woman Blues, Treat Me Nice, G.I Blues, Fame And Fortune, Return To Sender, Always On My Mind, If I Can Dream and My Happiness.
Volume 3: From The Waist Up is presented by Bono from U2. This DVD follows the early stages of Elvis career with a lot of original footage of Elvis on stage in the fifties and items like the "fro waist up only" appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show with songs like Baby Let's Play House, That's Alright, Mama, Heartbreak Hotel, Love Me, Blue Suede Shoes, Hound Dog, Ready Teddy, Love Me Tender, Too Much, When My Blue Moon Turns To Gold en Peace In The Valley.
