Lord, have mercy, not more of that same old same old stuff. Sony / BMG not more of that kind of stuff.

Yes, indeed, I was the one who made the post on FECC and they are about $33 if you are a member at Cosco. Nothing too special here but hard-core collectors who want "everything" are taking me up on swapping for it. Personally, the "genre" sets are a total milking of the catalogue, make the "E1" and "ALLC" upsurge seem like long ago, as we continually see the original Elvis albums fall into neglect. Only audiophiles can applaud getting more "DSD" masters. I could think of worse things for a nominal fan to have, but I'd much rather they start with a "real" (original) Elvis album. Even "Hitstory" had some credence, save for the cop-out third disc.

There is surely something going wrong at BMG. What are they doing now and done before ?

So far, they haven't sold at all after a week in that store, as near as I can tell. I'd much rather Elvis' music be sold with some dignity- the original albums in some sort of high-quality package. To this day, there are fans who somehow rationalize these sets as necessary for the "casual fan." Balderdash!
