The Birthplace Museum Will Be Closed For Three Months

May 16, 2006 | Other
After many years, the “Times And Things Remembered“ museum at The Elvis Presley Birthplace will close for a Major renovation, effective October 9, 2006). This upgrade will take about 8 to 10 weeks to complete. During that time the rest of the attractions at the Birthplace will continue to be open and the ticket prices will be adjusted to reflect the temporary change. The plan is to reopen in early December 2006 with a new concept for the museum.

Well, if the rest of the birthplace is anything to go by, I can't wait to see the new museum. They really have done everything so tastefully; it is perfect. Although its a pain the museum will be shut I bet the new one will certainly be worth waiting for. Everything there is done with so much obvious love and respect - fabulous!

I live 60 miles from Elvis' Birth Place and I can't wait until the museum is upgraded. I do not ever go to Tueplo without going by. I just wish the rest of Tueplo would get behind the program. Elvis put Tueplo on the map, and it is about time they took notice.
