Sorry about the typos, the African people, I've met in my local city, tell me they really like Elvis, so I can only assume that the folks who critisise him are middle class, Guardian reading Beatle types who like Johnny Cash cause they saw some dumb movie, before realising if Philips didn't get 35 grand for Elvis' contract, then no Cash, Carl, Rich, Killer and I love those guys especially Jerry Lee. Basic point is, the so called hip crowd all like Cash but have no idea of Sun's financial history and how pivotal Elvis was in getting other great artists distributed.

I,ve been reading all the nonsense about The King so called ripping off black music, those fools should realise Arthur Big Boy would be forgotten, if it was'nt for The Memphis Flash. By their reckoning, Elvis must have also ripped off Bluegrass and white , Appalachian folk music, cause that was the b side and ultimately a more confident track, although 'that's alright' grooves nicely before Ernst got his hands on it. So called modernisation, removed the rawness. He did prove some 70's cuts but Sun Stuff is Holy Grail of Rock 'n' Roll Music!!'

Interesting Picture Sleeve. Is this an "out -of- copyright " release? I was wondering where someone would find something like this . Not many places carrying 45's these days .
