Interstate 40 between Memphis and Nashville is known as Tennessee's "Music Highway." The Tennessee Department of Tourism has a new copy of the Music Highway pamphlets which has been distributed at Rest Areas and Welcome Centers in Tennessee. Elvis Presley was a prominent part of the "Music Highway" and you will find information and a photo of him included in the new pamphlets. They are planning to erect a plaque at the Rest Area in Elvis' honored location that will incorporate his picture and information about his career and music. The B.B. King/Elvis Presley Welcome Center is located on Eastbound I-40 Memphis Welcome Center on Riverside Drive.
