TCM's "Elvis: 25th Anniversary Tribute"

February 05, 2002 | Other
2002 marks a milestone year when Elvis fans and admirers remember the legendary entertainer on the 25th anniversary of his untimely death. Turner Classic Movies presents their own tribute to the King of Rock 'n Roll with a 24 hour marathon of 12 of his "best" movies on Friday, August 16, 2002. The marathon will start at 4 AM, and every two hours a new movie will start: Kid Galahad - It Happened at the World's Fair - Kissin' Cousins - Spinout - Frankie and Johnny - Clambake - Speedway - Elvis: That's the Way it Is (special edition) - Jailhouse Rock - Girl Happy - Tickle Me - Double Trouble. Looking at the list, and putting TTWII and Jailhouse Rock aside, we understand why TCM put "best" between quotes.
