Sunday Chart Update

November 09, 2008 | Video
On tomorrow's ARIA Music DVD Chart, "Elvis The King of Rock 'N' Roll" DVD drops 3 places to #10. The set is certified Platinum and has now been ion the chart for 31 weeks.

On the US Cashbox Top Country Chart for November 10, 2008 the "Christmas Duets" drops from #4 to #5 while this disc climbs from #13 to #11 and Elvis Christmas drops from #4 to #14 on the Hot Christmas Chart.

In the UK the Deluxe Edition of the "Christmas Duets" Album failed to reach the Top 100 in it's first week of release in the UK, it made it to #103. The cheaper, and main release, will be launched on 17th November. Let's hope for a better chart performance then.

The Christmas Duets album has failed to enter the top 75 albums in the UK but I'm not surprised. Like the remix album, it is not being pushed by any of the major stores and it has had zero advertising. After the success of "Elvis: THe King" I'd have thought that Sony/BMG would realise the benefits of TV advertising.

Actually the Christmas Duets Album (De-Luxe Edition) failed to reach the Top 100 in it's first week of release in the UK. In its first day of release it made 103 and then disappeared from the radar. The cheaper, and main release, will be launched on 17th November. Let's hope for a better chart performance then.
