Spring Fever

September 01, 2005 | Music
The CD-R label Unicorn will release their first real CD with the title "Spring Fever". The CD is released in the Memory of Elvis Presley's death 28 years ago on August 16, 1977. This is an completely unreleased show that was recorded on May 22, 1974 Midnight at the Sahara Tahoe Hotel in Lake Tahoe in the Stateline, Nevada. This is a digitally remastered audience recording taken from the master tape. The running time is 77:18 minutes.

From the pressrelease

Elvis does an excellent performance in this show as he does some powerful tunes such as "Trying To Get To You", "Bridge Over Troubled Water", "The Wonder Of You", "I Can't Stop Loving You" and a very rare song performed in 1974 which Elvis did in this show is "My Way" (actually it is the ONLY KNOWN version of this song that comes from 1974). Unfortunately the show was incomplete as it's missing "Can't Help Falling In Love". Unicorn added this closing number from the May 21st, 1974 Midnight Show (unheard before, too) to make it a complete concert feeling. Also "Help Me" was slightly damaged on the master tape so producers added this song as one of the bonus tracks from the May 21st, 1974 as well.
