I have bought their previous releases of Spliced and let me tell you they are pretty good. The sound is fabulous and the editing is new and refreshing and the material they have used for splicing is amazing, keep them coming, I will definitely buy them.

I have to agree 100% with FM. Star is not the usual bootlegger. Far far from that. They must be true Elvis fans, first and most of all. Their message in the beginning of theirs DVDs says it all: “if you paid more than 10 euros for a star product you’ve ben ripped off”. From theirs unique and fantastic DVDs to this Spliced series they treat Presley Legacy with respect and true devotion. The Spliced in Memphis, for example, is outstanding. If I can I’ll have those releases. And Keep them Coming since CMT and STAR are probably the best thing in the import market nowadays.

I totally agree with Pedro Nuno. These guys must spend hours doing these projects as I know having produced an Elvis DVD on ebay back in 2003 trying to sync sound with silent film etc. It is a hundred times better than releasing a concoction of totally unrelated 50's and 60's tracks, which I call is really making a swift buck for doing nowt. If you don't like it don't buy it, but true fans like these guys attempt, not always successfully, to keep the legend alive. No way are they making big money on these releases.

Why doesn't that surprise me Lex. :-)

1) i don't belive that anyone has the time to listen to all the authentic elvis takes very often in his life. Ok, maybe if you don't have a job and no other hobbys, you don't have friends, a family i don't know ... so why don't you listen to something you already have a second time? It's possible. 2) there is music from other artists out there artists that are alive, and they are making new musics, theyplay concerts.... I know it sounds strange, but yes, it's true. 3) every one of us could make CDs like this today. Audacity, a few FTDs as a source and a little bit of time ...

Interesting response atomic powered poste. I think you are missing the point as this is an Elvis forum where many have been fans for over 20 years and speaking personally I play 1 Elvis CD probably every 2-3 weeks while doing other things. That means about 270 tracks a year and for me (the ones I like) his whole portfolio in 2 years. Now do the maths . Yes one knows SURPRISINGLY other artists are out there but no matter how hard one tries cannot for example enjoy the Divas, Ed Sheeran, Rap, or Adele with the same enthusiam as say The Beatles, Queen, Cash, or Abba. The cost of the Star DVD and CD's are minimal and I would rather they buy all the source material and I just purchase the end result (if I want it).
