Received the book yesterday and as usual it came well packed as I would expect from Chris Giles. This big badass book goes perfect with my Inside Loving You book but it does kind get pushed back after looking through this book. It has tons of info and great reading if you are into that and a lot of deep searching was done to make this project possible from what was mentioned in the book. The photos which most of them are unpublished where used with careful detail and you will be amazed how awesome they do look. I had to get a glass to dribble into just incase lol, na not really. Some people complain about the title of the book but if you look up information on this film then you will no it has links to regarding the title of this book. Yes again people moan about why they adding a cd when we have it already on releases but in the end it's a nice touch to have even thou I have the FTD release. Overall : This is a must book for 50's fans or anyone who loves anything to do with the movie Loving You. You will not be disappointed because they have done a damn good job to make this release possible.

Nice advertisement from someone who registered just a few hours ago. Are you a dealer?
Elvis316 wrote on February 01, 2014
Nope, I am not a dealer but just a regular fan like most people

I'm not a dealer either but a fan since 1956, being a teenager at that time. Just like Elvis316 ( see his profile) my favourite movie is Loving You ( love Jailhouse Rock and King Creole very much too). Also have the 'Inside Loving You' book. Picked 'Something For The Girls' up yesterday at my local dealer (a real one). Elvis316 is absolutely right ! Stunning book in every way.Glad having it in my collection. As for the title, well, it's not the end of the world ! The content is the most important part to me. Regretful though to have to read that someone who just registered is immediately suspected of making publicity for a new release and been linked to 'dealer'. Welcome to the club Elvis316! GeertFromNl : give the guy a chance ! Anyway, nothing personal . I'm sure you're a loyal fan too like all of us.Have a nice weekend everybody. Always El.

Well said, Benny. Elvis was just so charismatic and we have to admit that girls went crazy over him. So I understand the title, though after all these years such a title seems less applicable (smile).

Natha, you're right ! The somewhat unusual and, as you wrote, after all these years less appilcable title deserves a smile indeed! Always El.

Thank you benny for the kind words and I actually 1st got into Elvis probably in the late 80's and the 1st release I got was actually Golden Records volume 2 I believe which I remember was really bad because it sounded like he was singing in the church with all that echo lol. Today I brought the book down to show my friend and he seriously wanted it so I left it with him and ordered another one because he wasn't going to let me leave with it anyways lol.

'Something for the Girl's was the US working title for 'Loving You'!!!

Elvis316 : Great !!! Always El.

Hi Buffalo-Horn. Good remark sir !!! Was forgotten completely the fact. Shame on me. So after all the title is not so weird IMHO . Thanks for reminding me (us) / letting us know ! Always El.

Running Wild as also a working and much closer title for the film (Ed Sullivan even mentioned this) and I think a much cooler title for this book. This title is just bad.

Unfortunately I'm not a girl and therefore this book is not for me. Something nice for the girls though...

The film title was also mooted as The Lonesome Cowboy & Stranger in Town! Either way this is a really excellent book. There are 526 pages, compared to 346 in the Jailhouse Rock book from the same stable. Also the reproduction of the studio shots is a lot better in this book, in Jailhouse Rock some of the plates, both colour and black & white are frankly rather poor. Don't know where the Jailhouse Rock pictures were sourced from, but photos most of us already have in good quality look ungraded, over saturated & in some cases burnt out. I don't like not getting value for money, (£70.00 with postage..) and I am happy to say this book is a lot better!

Did they consider to name the book 'Loving you'? It would have been a brilliant and most relevant title.

While on the subject of "Loving You", this movie has been out of print in the USA on DVD for years . I think it's time for it to be reissued on DVD and BLURAY. Most people agree that this film is one of Elvis best.
