Scotty Moore In Hospital Updated

December 08, 2003 | People
On the Alt.Elvis.King newsgroup we found a posting that Scotty Moore had surgery this morning on a brain embolism. According to the posting the surgery went very well, the doctors seemed very optimistic and expect a full recovery, this was not a stroke.

Updated December 8th from EPE Fan Forum:

Scotty is doing great and he suffered a subdural hematoma, which is a bleed between the brain and skull and was caused by a medication he was taking. After surgery, Scotty began to have small seizure (which sometimes happens) so the medical staff has kept him unconscience since the surgery. He has not had a seizure since late Saturday night so today they are bringing him back to consciousness and are removing the ventilator. The doctors are expecting a full recovery. Please keep he and Gail in your thoughts and prayers. All is good. Rumors flying around are not quite truth. He wasn't rushed to the hospital and wasn't near death.

Obviously Rock from Vienna is confused who is in the hospital. It is Scotty, not James. I also join everyone to wish Scotty a speedy recovery. How fortunate he is that this brain embolism was caught early ! We need Scotty around for many years to come. his guitar playing and wonderful personality are loved by so many of us ! You are in my prayers, Scotty! Thank you for all the joy you have given this world with Elvis.
