On his 25th album, the legendary singer and guitarist Alvin Lee - of Ten Years After fame - is joined by his own musical heroes, former Elvis Presley guitarist Scotty Moore and drummer DJ Fontana on his new album "Alvin Lee In Tennessee". Together they cook up an authentic blend of rockabilly and blues, returning to Alvin's musical roots.

My post certainly wasn't meant as a knock against Alvin Lee. As a matter of fact, I have a number of Ten Years After discs among my collection that I still hold very dear. My problem is with the way the word "legendary" is bandied about these days. Elvis Presley very deservedly earns the adjective. But do I put the very talented -- and at one time very popular -- Alvin Lee in the same category of greatness? No way. Sorry, Eddie. Have a nice one, Dan.

Not known of to the younger generation but certainly a legendary guitarist to anyone old enough. Alvin Lee was one of the greatest rythem and blues guitarist of his time. I personally would put him up there with the guitar playing greats. Sorry dismas.
