Sam Philips Historical Marker

Sam Philips hometown, Florence, Ala. will unveil an historical marker and issue an official Sam Philips special cancellation stamp at the post office. Philips moved to Memphis from Florence. The historical marker will be unveiled during the Sam Philips week from january 3-7, 2006.
