"Stop, look and listen, baby" for new commercials on American television for the Toyota Solara featuring the Elvis remix single Rubberneckin'. The spots are expected to start running on various stations during the period of September 5-26.

Well, lets hope so Gribz. Lets really hope so. However, I must say that there is a HUGE difference between the brands Nike and Toyota. Elvis being associated with Nike and several of the worlds most popular football players is pretty darn cool. Elvis being associated with a cheap japanese car... Well, it sure doesnt give any branding bonus. But lets hope I am terribly mistaken here. If the Toyota commercial is well made when it comes to creativity and quality, it may still give the single a good boost.
If it is made along the same line as the Audi "wiggeling Elvis doll"-line though, it will be a disaster amongst the young audience.

This is great news. Last years Nike commercial did wonderful things for the hit single; " A little less convesation a little more action," overseas. Hopefully the Toyota commercials will do the same for "Rubberneckin" in the USA. I think it will.
