Resident Pushes For Monument To Elvis

April 06, 2009 | Other

Elvis Presley is most closely associated with Memphis, but a Nashville resident wants the King of Rock 'n' Roll to be honored in Music City.

On Tuesday, the Metro Parks Board will hear a proposal from resident Moses Fisher, who wants the city to build a monument in Presley's honor downtown at Hall of Fame Park.

Hall of Fame Park is located between the Hilton Hotel and the Country Music Hall of Fame.

It is unclear how the statue would be paid for if the proposal moves forward.
