I love this song and the cover is great, except that the 18 UK no. 1 Sticker is covering most of his great face!! I have been lucky enough to get all but 2 of the cds, but I haven't been as fortunate with the vinyl, I only have 8 of those. Just a quick mention, I recently purchased a copy of the vinyl A Fool Such as I, which has a misprinted label, it shows Make Me Know It and A Mess of Blues as the B side. I haven't played it to see if it was pressed with the proper b side, but I just wonder if anyone else knows of any others like it? Was it a full batch or just this one?? If anyone knows please let me know!!

Only Elvis. I too have the vinyl with the misprinted label. At the time it was said that one particular batch of them had been printed incorrectly. I think there is something about it also on elvisnews news pages if you go back awhile.

this song is as important as heartbreak hotel , edge of reality and burning love . why ?? who in their right mind released this song mid 60's during and at the peak of brit invasion and beatles . this in the middle of the so called Swinging Sixties . if you looked at the charts at time this song stood out . but the religious song kicked you know what . people would buy it and love it at the time .it was a fluke but what a fluke . who would have thought a song like crying in the chapel would climb to number 1 during this period . still outstanding all these 40 years ago . the king lives .

"Crying in the Chapel" by Elvis was played on LM FM RADIO Ireland yesterday as a tribute to Pope Paul. The DJ was surprised it was a hit in 1965 and would not take my word for it till he checked it out! We spoke about Elvis's love for Gospel music. Please request the song be played on your local radio station it may just surprise an awful lot of people.
