Quickpoll

January 09, 2007 | Other
With the new year just started we asked you for your expectations for the 30th anniversary of Elvis' passing. 92 percent expects 2007 to be a great Elvis year, only 8 percent disagreed. So far we have announcement of a documentary series on Elvis Presley, similar to The Beatles' Anthology to support the expectations and a talking Elvis Head to support the 8 percent.

For our new poll we want your opinion on the release on 1977 material on the Follow That Dream label: The "Unchained Melody" CD is a great release.

once again i add that if you do not like certain era's of elvis concerts you do not need to buy them all. i for one support any and all ftd projects.

Is this the cover? Do they purposely find the worst pixs of him???

I think "Unchained Melody" sounds like another great release from FTD. Since I happen to be looking for wand wanting more concert material from 1977, this CD could not come at a better time. The picture of Elvis is highly unflattering though, making me wonder why they could not have used a better picture of him for the cover art, for instance, they should have used a picture of him singing "Unchained Melody" from the CBS TV Special to tie in perfect with the title of the release. Why that wasn't done is beyond me......

i for onr am not offended by the fr0ont cover pic because the true elvis fans have seen many many pics like this.once again this is not geared for the casual elvis fan and most important is once again, the music

to the people having a big gripe about the picture being used. this was done for the reason of how he looked in 1977 at the time of the concert. it wouldnt be right to use a picture from june 21 1977 for a concert cd he had in february -may. this is prolly one of the last times elvis actually looked alive take the value of this picture in high regaurd. there werent many good pictures of elvis in 1977 he was sick and dying. it would be great injustice also if they used a picture for the cover from years past. i look forward to buying this release when i get the money unchained melody is my favorite song from the end of 1976-1977 it was his swan song to everyone.

A nice change NOT to see a 70's full body shot of Elvis in a jump suit, on the front of an album inlay.I like the cover he appears to be casual and happy.

I love all the pics of Elvis. I think he looked maybe a little sick and heavy at times but you cannot deny the fact even at his worsed Elvis looked stunning! Always beautiful. He had that awesome perfect face and an inner beauty that was like a beam of sunshine! Elvis had a face that is matchless even today! With weight or without, I always thought it sooooo beautiful!

I agree totally with Mofoca22. This was Elvis how he looked in 1977. And I've seen much worse photo's of him from february 1977. I like his smile, his hair and no !! jump-suite. I ordered the cd, now I'm waiting it's arrival.
