QuickPoll Results

Our latest quickpoll had probably a result as unanimous as can get in the Elvis fan world. Only 20 of nearly 1000 fans are not looking forward to the upcoming DVD releases of the NBC Special and Aloha. Ninety-eight percent of the voters is looking forward to them. The new question is to find out if 'we' like the latest FTD outing, "Flashback".

Carol.K. I can assure you that you don't have everything on these new releases - except if they are very bad pirate copies of the rehearsals, etc. These wiill be have audio & video that has been digitally remastered. And the Aloha show as been re-cut to eliminate those dire split-screen effects. Does your bona fide copy of the '68 special have Elvis singing "If I Can Dream" in his leather suit? I don't think that it does.

The reason i am looking forward to these dvd releases is because the picture quality should be alot better and i hope the sound is better as well. And i have got these both on vhs. The picture is not very good on these videos especially the out takes i have for the 68 comeback. So thats why i voted yes !

I don't understand. The reason some people clicked "no" is that they already have the identical shows on VHS...Am I missing something? Do these new releases have more added to them? If so, then I'd vote "yes." Otherwise, my video cabinet is full of Elvis on VHS. Carol

I am very sure these 20 people must have clicked the wrong button. Even Tom Jones fans and the most hardcore Cliff Richard fans surely cannot resist the 68 Comeback DVD. I am sure Paul Mc Cartney and Bruce Springsteen will be the first to buy a copy!

I knew as soon as the invitation to the poll said they wanted to see whether they could get a unanimous vote, we'd have to contend with the "troll factor." i think we now have a good standard minimum for the "troll factor" we can figure into any future debates. treat it as you would the margin of error in polls. in fact, add the standard margin of error and the "troll factor" together and you can make the trolls vanish entirely. what a relief.

I cannot believe that 20 people were not excited about these great dvd releases. They must have pressed the no button by mistake

Yeah right. Who are those 20 who are not happy with these two fantastic releases. Cliff Richard or Tom Jones fans?!! Ha Ha!!! I can't wait to have them in my collection. BTW I cannot submit my vote to this new question as I haven't obtained my copy yet but if it is as good as That's The Way It Was I'm sure I'm not going to be dissapointed. Will vote as soon as It arrives. Keep up the good work all you lovely people.
