Quickpoll And New Question

April 19, 2006 | Other
After the release of two new Follow That Dream releases this month we wanted to know your opinion. Just like the "Made In Memphis" CD a mayority of the voters thought "Something For Everybody" CD was a great FTD release. From the 133 voters 90 percent agreed to this.

With bootleggers, just like BMG, re-releasing more and more "old" material we want to know your opinion on our new quickpoll: "Bootleggers should not re-release old material".

Quite frankly I think bootleggers should release NOTHING at all!

If there was not the demand for bootlegs, there would be no supply, it's simple economics. While there is a demand, however small, for every soundboard, audience recording or studio out-take, there will be bootlegs. BMG simply could not cope with this craving for unreleased material. Regarding the question, I think it is good for the bootleggers to constantly re-release the same material to allow fans that missed it the previous time to purchase it, in addition to newly released recordings where possible. The answer is such an easy one, if you already have the recording or disapprove of bootlegs just don't buy them!

Tony, that's exactly how I feel, a lott of the older releases are becoming harder & harder to find with each passing year & by re-issuing some of these older imports it gives the newer fan an oppurtunity to hear tracks that would otherwise lost to them.
