Preliminary Calendar Of August 2007 Events

EPE posted a very preliminary calendar of events for Elvis Week 2007 - 30th Anniversary. They have announced plans for ELVIS: THE 30TH ANNIVERSARY CONCERT on August 16th. "A spectacular concert event starring the real Elvis Presley via video accompanied live by a large cast of singers and musicians who worked with him. A wonderful production along the lines of our anniversary shows in 1997 and 2002."

Let's hope EPE for once will make plans to Film the whole Concert and release it on DVD. So far, there have been so many Elvis The Concert but NOT EVEN ONE has been filmed. This is worse than Colonel Parker. At least he filmed the That's The Way It Is, Aloha From Hawaii and Elvis On Tour. What a bloody waste if the 2007 Concert is NOT filmed.

Elvis the concert has been profesionaly filmed.Epe filmed the the first one in '97. They just haven't realeased it.

Yes Gareth is right. ETC in Memphis in 1997, was filmed professionnaly, but they couldn't release it, because as EPE has explained to me once: EPE would have to pay much to much money for the rights....think about all the parts from all the shown concert-documentaries...they would have to pay for each of them and also it would have become very difficult to get each ones publishing-okay from the involved cast. For myself I find it very sad because I think it was the best show of ETC....we were all in awe and tears fell almost of everbodys eyes. But next time, lets say for 2007, I think (and hope they will) they should just try to get a contract of everybody where it says that they agree with video-publishing. Swiss greetings, from Jacqueline
