Poll Results And New Poll Question

March 06, 2006 | Other
Referring to Ernst Jorgensen's plans to release the "Clambake" soundtrack in the Follow That Dream Classic Album Series we asked you if this album was a "classic release". From the 247 votes a surprising 47% said "yes". We guess Ernst made a good choice looking at this result.

For the new poll we want to know if you think the Graceland mansion should be part of a Disney like theme park. For details, read the article: "The King's Legacy, All Shook Up".

I can see the mass media headline now: Elvis Website Poll Determines Elvis Movie Soundtrack, Clambake, Not A Classic. What a waste of time. It's coming out. It doesn't matter what they call it. If you want it buy it, or pass on it. Such a fuss over nothing. As for Graceland: The hard core fans are aging. Many will be gone within the next 20+ years. The 2 hour walkaround tour won't sustain the Elvis Empire forever. New ways must be found to attract new blood and sustain interest. Let's all take a deep breath, relax and see how things develop. I hardly think they'll build an amusement park on Graceland's front lawn.

About graceland becoming the Disneyland of the south. From what i understand it has nothing to do with the the Mansion or the grounds.Only having a new hotel and an upgrading the pavillion. At the end of the day Lisa Marie still owns the house and Elvis' personal possesions it has nothing to do with Robert Sillerman. He only owns the company.
