Jerome, why the moaning? This seriees looks like a nice promotion of Elvis Presley in Poland. For a few bucks a fan can build a nice catalogue of songs from the entire career of our man including a booklet per CD with the background information (although the latter lacks a quality check if I read it correctly).

I collect them all, and they offer nothing new, and the tracklist is very strange, but... the booklets look real nice with great picture of my hero. Nothing to complain for me, i dont read Polish so i dont give a damn whats written in the pages.

sorry just kidding, indeed it is a nice way for Poland to get to know Elvis. Although the traklistings are very strange, at least they try..

I would love to read a reaction from a Polish fan. That would be more useful as these releases are aimed at them! Anyone out there?

So, Natha, you would like to hear some Polish voices... The main idea's right: promotion is valuable thing. About this collection I've got mixed feelings. On the one hand it's nice to have those CDs with some nice photos, booklet, very fair review on particular songs and about chosen E's cars. On the other hand there are cons that are ruining previous charm: on the side they used picture of an impersonator - that guy doesn't look like Elvis! I feel like I'm watching Kissin' Cousins only with Comeback theme. Songlist is very weird: for some titles, songs matches quite prefectly, but if it was up to me - I'd issue CD with material ordered chronologicaly (maybe excerpt from first title), but since it's for "average Joes", they have no problem with hearing For The Good Times and then We're Gonna Move... Another thing is quality of "main" liner notes: about Elvis. They're not bad, but someone here mentioned they're Goldmanish sh.t. He's quite right: one of the headline has: "Elvis - a walking drugstore" and describes his addiction to pills. Although it's true, it puts some dark on Elvis last seven years (and as we know - first years weren't so bad). To sum up: promotion is done (on Tueday the last number is issued), the money are spent (4 numbers = 1 FTD price) , CD/book combination fills the cabinet, everyone's happy (oh, maybe besides Jerome :-))))) But that's my personal opinion. Take care!

Jerome the third. No need to apologize. Too many on this site have no sense of humour. Keep up the funny comments.

Jerome and Harvey Alexander always bring a smile to my face. If fans cant get their humor, its their loss. Keep it up Jerome. Havent seen Harvey in a while. I hope the negativity hasnt scared him off. Remember Elvis is entertainment, not cancer research.
