Shaneleebrown, we can do without a tutorial about the limited quantity of 1956 recordings. Evidently you don't pay attention to what you read. I said "same songs rehashed". And my comment was just a comment, nothing more. You are taking it off in left field and completely missed my point. Again if you'd read, I never stated what I expect or want. Also, if you'd carefully read the track listing above, not all of these recordings are "1956 recordings". Jesper, Paul Reno & Steve V stated it well & are echoing what I'm saying. Read their well stated comments. Shaneleebrown, in other words, now that the copyrights are expiring on these recordings, I see them released to death like the "Hayride" recordings. And the fact that the one above is a "1956" themed album with Sun recordings included, shows it was thrown together. But anyway...nothing we can do about it.

It really opens the floodgates for cd's to swamp the market. You could even put one together yourself! If the recordings are good quality I think it's great for creating competition resulting in reduced priced cd's. If you are still at school, cheaper cd's are a great way of first getting introduced to Elvis music.

1956 songs with a 1957 cover photo - there's real quality control. Its obviously a shabby item and totally not needed in anyone's collection.

But what songs did you expect? If you didn't want the same songs, you obviously wanted different ones! The titles refers to the recordings of 1956 - there are only so many!

Shaneleebrown, I never stated I expect new songs. What a silly question. Read carefully what I said. I said "same songs rehashed". It's just a comment.

Told you so, here they come man.. But they dont necessary have to be bad compared to other normal redbook cd´s, BMG also takes stuff from different sources like vinyl cd etc in lack of better master tapes. (Sun material for example) I think better previous released versions by BMG superceed many of the late remasters done by BMG, so with a little knowhow about this, budget cds can actually provide something priceworth. (If they know what versions to pick....) One can also simply make own comps with CD´s you have, and choose best versions yourself ;) By the way... The cover pic is from "58.
