On Tour Outtakes

October 01, 2005 | Video
For some months now, sellers from various countries offer unreleased ‘rough’ footage from the 1972 On Tour documentary on eBay. The highlights of that unseen material have now been put on a two-DVD set. This blue 2DVD “The On Tour Outtakes” is supposedly an excellent quality release. Disc 1 contains the original film, disc 2 has the unreleased material.

The content is EXCELLENT, but ONLY OK if IT has the screen counter in the footage.

sorry, but the counter makes no difference at all to the content and overall quality on any of the dvd's, if you don't have it and want it the counter is totally irrelevant.

I'm currently viewing the On Tour received from the Fan Club. This has 042405 WKCB down the left hand side. I assume this is not the counter referred. The quality is reasonable, but certainly not ecellent. There are lots of digital artifacts around, and the movement seems a little jerky. Right now, Elvis is singing American Trilogy, and the picture and sound DO NOT match up at all. Anyone else noticed this in all the variants of this material that appears to be knocking about.

There are some excellent versions out there on these DVD outtakes and also a lot of confusion involving names. I had one member email me to ask a question and I on accident erased it. My personal email is well I am not allowed to put it on hear but if you did email me then you will still have it. if you were the one needing my information. Thanks!

I just recently recieved the Elvis On Tour sessions which is in the blue cover from Chile and it only had on disc in it. It appeared that the audio was from another source because it seemed out of sequence at times. It is fun watching Elvis rehearse Burning Love but what do you expect from something of this nature. All I have to say is release this stuff EPE so the fans can see the good quality. Do it no matter what the legal ramifications are. EPE you owe this to the fans.
