No Imperial Stamps For The Concert

April 14, 2005 | People
Discussions have been going on for some time to replace Ed Hill (The Stamps) with Terry Blackwood (The Imperials) during the “Elvis the Concert” Tour in April and May 2005. Stig Edgren, the producer of the show finally did not approve the change, so the Stamps will appear with the three remaining members, Ed Enoch being the only one who was also present during the Elvis concerts in the seventies.

It has started, soon their be no originals in 'The Elvis in Concert' I'm glad I got to see them when they came to Wembley and Ireland ... 'memories pressed between the pages of my mind...' ah well, when that eventually happens I hope they'll bring the ticket price down. T C B

I agree with you cathyreno, i too am glad that i went to wembley and Docklands in 2003 cos so far this time we got no Ronnie Tutt and now the Stamps are short of a singer, not looking too hopeful is it

It will be a sad day when it does stop cause they'll probably disband or maybe they'll try something else along the same lines? Heres hoping, L

The style and tone of EP's shows changed for the worse when he brought the Stamps onboard - they were too gospel oriented. The Imperials provided a good sound complement to his music.
