The other day I read this article that children that play a musical instrument have a better ability filter out sound with lots of background noise. This is exactly what I do when I listen to audience recordings. At some point, especially with the better stereo ones, I get a much better feel of the dynamics than with the sound boards. And I like the feel of sitting in the audience. I'm glad my mother dragged me to my piano lessons when I was a kid.

"good quality audience recording" is an oxymoron. I'm not going to knock this release since I don't have it, but I find audience recordings (from prior to the 1990's) pretty unbearable. Even the 1976/77 New Years Eve FTD was, to me, hard to listen to. Of course I can understand that basically every word Elvis ever uttered is considered of "historical value", so that justifies really bad sound quality--especially on something like the recent "Little Mama". But a '75 concert? ....well, since it is a boot, I can always download and check it out guilt-free.

Go for Amore, Elvis ! by Straight Arrow...then you have this show and the DS of the same day as well for a little money more... in even better sound.
