If indeed these titles are released in March (or later) I will buy them.

Aaaah, for old times sake, and for my nostalgic heart, I will buy, but only for nostalgic Camden price, let's say $3.00

Well, March has come and gone and obviously they weren't released. If memory serves, Sony/BMG said in a press release that they weren't going to release any Camden budget releases this year in order to concentrate on their 30th anniversary releases. I expect these titles will see the light of day eventually.

Hi, I´m pretty sure they will be released this year. It was the the same situation with other Camden releases last year and the year before. CDUniverse has it on Backorder, other sites has it listed as out of stock or as pre-order. Since the first anouncement and until their final release we had to wait around two month in the past. You could come to the conclusion as if SonyBMG is using Amazon and other major sites as a kind of marketing research platform. Let`s see how many pre-orders come in and then decide how many CDs should be pressed for the initial release? I guess, it`s SonyBMG last big chance to cash in on Elvis this year and why should they let it go by?

Looking at these covers brings back a lot of memories for me. Gosh, what awful marketing Elvis endured back in the day! I was just a kid when these LP's hit the shelves, and I remember how other artists from the 70's were releasing incredible albums with superb artwork. Elton John comes to mind in this regard. And then there was poor Elvis, pictured as a giant straddling a freeway! Greatfully, RCA and FTD are doing a much better job with marketing now. I'll take the Burning Love CD from RCA, which is fantastic, any day over the Camden releases.

They embarassed the LP catalog back in the 70's and they will do the same to the CD catalog if released now. Nostalgic or not, these should never be released for any reason. The Colonel is dead remember?

Right on Steve. I agree with you 100%. They can remain "unavailable" forever for all I care. I never bothered to buy them in the 70's when they were originally released and I will not buy them now. An embarrassment to Elvis' musical legacy! In my opinion Separate Ways must rank as the worst cover ever.

I agree,im not intersted in these at all, Sperate ways has to be one of the worst covers ever, what were they thinking? if people really want to be nostalgic just buy the records of these releases! jmo

Makes me feel all nostalgic for the last time I bought them on official RCA CDs. Expensive imports from Canada as part of their Camden Classics series about twenty(!) years ago. I really must get around to playing them someday...

I don't give a damn about the catalog. Bring on the product. Give me those Camdens. All of them!!

Camden was, is and will always be the *real* Elvis behind the hype. Sad but true. Mature_elvis_fan: Use the Firefox browser instead - It's got a spellchecker implemented. As I always say: Did Firefox dot com? Oh yes! (and that was not a URL, ElvisNews ;) )

My first ever Elvis LP was the double sided Camden - Elvis Collection. It was this set that hooked me to the voice of Elvis and the Camden label that made my paper round money go further in starting my collection. So for me this series has nostalgic and sentimental value as it will with many fans. However, I won't be buying these releases as but now I have them already a number of times over - but maybe one of these will be the first album bought by a new fan discovering Elvis for the first time. My only other comment would be that they could have been released as multiple albums on 1 CD or a mini Camden box set that would reflect the historical placing of these albums within Elvis's career - this would have made them more attractive to buy as well as being more environmentally friendly.

I was only 10 years old when these classic albums were released and at 10 I thought the cover of the Separate Ways album was too cool. Elvis standing in a jumpsuit with guitar standing on a highway. The songs I did like but they dont go together due to the fact they are from different eras. I think if the Camden releases are released they should release it as a greatest hits package on 1 cd. The front of the cd would have new cover art and the back of the cd could combine the cover art of all the albums on the cd.

A box set that would have been a good idear.
