Memphis Recording Service Updates - Updated

March 22, 2007 | Book
The "Memphis Recording Service"volumes 1 and 2 are being released Australia wide in all good CD stores on the April 9, 2007.

Sources close to the UK based Memphis Recording Service label tell us that Joseph Pirzada is currently finishing off his latest project that will bring for the first time ever, unreleased Elvis footage in Concert from the 1950’ with original sound. To date, the only live 50’s performance footage with sound we know are from the TV shows. The release will also include an unreleased interview with Elvis from 1957 and live audio music.

Updated March 23: We have asked the producer, Joseph Pirzada, for confirmation, his reaction:

"It is not MRS Vol 3, I have not mentioned that it is Tupelo. It is a DVD-VIDE0/AUDIO and will contain nearly 25 mins of footage. The footage is in no way a documentary as some people may of suggested.

There will be complete song performance footage (more than 1) and an unreleased interview with Elvis from 1957.

The film is currently being restored for the first time ever (and have given it to an Elvis fan for the work as I try to get various fans involved when I can) although no definite release date has been given except that it will be very very soon.

Joseph Pirzada said and goes on to say "I am the owner so no legal issues what so ever and the sound thankfully is already PD, this is the most exciting project I have ever heard of and I must say I am very proud to be at the helm of this project"

This sounds great. I guess it's Tupelo '56, but are there any recordings from Tupelo '57? I know some videos exist, but audio?

With Tupelo '56 we got the audio (from both shows) and footage, so it wouldn't be hard to mix them... but to Tupelo '57 with sound would be soooo good to see!
