A nice pile of magazines ended up in our PO Box. Sorry to the makers, but I guess you understand the delay because of the holidays. Let’s make a round!

My Happiness

My Happiness

From France we have the December issue (#86) of My Happiness. It brings a new years wish in style because of the 60th anniversary of That’s All Right a colorized picture of a young Elvis. The main focus of the issue is Priscilla: a report of the cruise that she attended and the transcription of the talkshow she did during that cruise. Furthermore there is part 2 of the series on 1973 and an interview with Shane Keister, the pianist that replaced Glen Hardin. Finally there is an article on the His Hand in Mine sessions. Of course all regulars can be found too!

Club Elvis

Club Elvis

The Spanish fanclub issued #85 of their magazine Club Elvis. It comes with a business card format calendar for 2014. Inside we found an article on Graceland Randers, all Camden albums get in the spotlight and there are articles on Dennis Linde and Tom Jones. All regular fanclub magazine content is available too.

The King

The King

From Finland we the final 2013 issue. Hannu Ignatius – the editor in chief – recalls his 20 years with Ed Bonja. There is an interview with Armond Morales of the Imperials, an article on B.J. Thomas and one on 1965. Of course all the regulars are present in The King too.

Graceland

Graceland

From Germany we got the 214th issue of Graceland, the outing of the Elvis Presley Gesellschaft. They have a nice article on the return to the states in 1960. An interesting interview with a real Professor who wrote about Elvis, Prof. Dr. Detering. There’s quite some space for the TCB Cruise 2013 and of course the reviews and such are present too. The desert with this issue is a beautiful full color photo on A4 from the Aloha show.

Golden Boy Elvis

Golden Boy Elvis

Also from Germany is the beautiful Gold Boy Elvis. There’s an article on Ricky Nelson, crown prince to Elvis. In the series Elvis on LP the focus is for the picture disc A Legendary Performer, Volume 3. All other pages are filled with the usual in depth reviews of recent releases.
