Add a book and jack that price up oh yea baby, the fans will have there wallet open. Again overkill and too much being put out at the same time.

One thing i dont do is try to call others out. Buy 2 of these and send me one, then i will give it a go. Its simple, these products are overblown with big books. I gotta go my bottle is ready!

It was a joke,i dont want the darn thing, more intersting stuff i want. Some take things so serious, some fans love it all it seems, yes im hard to please,i want value for my money. Have fun all!

Hi mature. A couple of years ago I once reacted to one of your postings this way : " mature ? long way to go ! " Well, now I realise I shouldn't have written this. I'm serious ! I have to respect your point of view on things. Apperently you're indeed harder to please than others, but you have the right to . Now, as for this forthcoming release, I honestly think it's not overpriced . It can be pre-ordered at Amazon UK for £ 13.56 , that's +/- 22 $ , but posting costs not included. Don't forget this is a set containig the CD + a 100 pages book ! The fans who like the early stuff (and I'm one of them, I was a teenager in 1955-56 when Elvis became popular in Europe) will welcome this . All in all not thàt expensive , don't you think so ? Always El.

I am hearing that 'Hearts of Stone' and some of those other really bad recordings from January 1955 are gonna sound awesome with major improvements. This being true, than this is worth it alone. But imagaine there being no more bad jokes about Hearts Of Stone anymore, what track do we fans pick on next that need improvment,

It will be interesting to hear exactly how much better tracks like "Heart of Stone" sound on this release. Advanced technology can make them better, but I would be surprised if the results are really that outstanding. These acetates have severe damage and only so much can be done with such recordings. As for the price being charged for this item, I can pre-order it from Amazon at the cost of just £11.99 including postage. Could that be considered overblown and a jacked-up price? Not in my opinion, but I suppose some people expect everything for nothing.

For UK fans the Amazon price is £11.99 post free ; HMV.com have it for £10.99, post free. MRS products have consistently been thoughtful and of high quality, with beautiful presentation and a VERY reasonable price for what you get. You're missing out if you don't get this.

Steve, Tony, or I misread the price, or Amazon lowered it, but who cares, that's even better news (£11,99 instead of 13,56 !) UK fans even get it post free! As for the improved sound quality, indeed one cannot expect miracles, but I'm glad the songs performed are given the correct dates ! I own several CDs with Hayride-songs where a lot of wrong dates were given. Like Steve wrote, MRS-releases have always been of very good quality and at reasonable price, (even this one, even now Mr.Tunzi is part of the team ) so I'm not going to miss this one too.Always El.

Maybellene (Tunzi Remix)???"...

MRS have a solid track record so far with all the products that's been made available for us and i see no reason to doubt this one will be just as good, a 100 page book and a cd for way under the price let's say FTD has been asking for with a similar product??.

About its content: This Is Elvis in his pure peek of creation and inovation. This is Elvis The Pelvis. This is wath made him King of music. The 16th December 1956 show, is probably one of Elvis Best concerts ever, and if in good sound a unique experience. This is My ELVIS!

Will the Tunzi 'Remix' of 'Maybellene' become a big hit in the clubs and get loads of young people buying Elvis records? Or will it just be what he issued before with his own Hayride book - i.e. with added echo.
marty wrote on October 12, 2011
The price is attractive and therefore this one is on my wish list. I have enjoyed their releases so far. I do not expect much improvement in the sound quality though...

I assumed with tunzi being part of this, it had to be high,so i was wrong,im not interested, but for those that are, enjoy!
mature_elvis_fan75 wrote on October 12, 2011
Benny,i might be hard to please, but its just views and what i or someone likes or doesnt like doesnt really matter.t I guess when you see tunzi ,you think overpriced, not really a great image. I like the simple cd releases with a nice booklet, but enjoy, and no i didnt want anyone sending me anything. Enjoy life folks.

Looks good. The book is 100 pages but it looks like the pages are not much larger than the size of the CD. Not a complaint, just an observation. I will probably go for it.
John Burrows wrote on October 13, 2011
It seems like it is exactly the same number of pages, size, shape etc as the previous MRS outing of 'Off Duty' they released back in 2009. I know this release is gonna be a killer soley because of the major improvements on 'Hearts of Stone'.

A much cheaper way to get the Dec. 1956 show than on the recent "Beat" release from Sony. Hmmmm wonder what to buy ? Decisions - decisions - decisions.
