Lisa Marie Invited For Elvis The Concert

Lisa Marie Presley has been invited to sing during the screen show "Elvis The Concert" in Memphis. Lisa is "considering" the offer, but chances are slim to none that she'll work with a different band than her own. Also, she most likely will not do any of her father's songs.

My daddy this, my daddy that, get rid of her, she may be his daughter but she is no Presley, Elvis must be rolling in his grave. Maybe she should give her own concert at the New York Bronx Zoo.

Please... before you write something awful or rude about a person, consider the fact that the text will be read by a lot of people, whereof someone might be offended. This happends more often, and now you backtalk Elvis' daughter for the simple reason that she's been INVITED to Elvis The Concert. Well said Jerome. You nailed it.

It is so very obvious how much Lisa loves and misses her father. And the loss of her father is still very painful for her. Her relationship with her father is a private matter. We should respect that. To me, her appearances in Memphis concerts and on the Elvis By The Presleys documentary speak volumes. Clearly, a woman very proud of her father.

Why would EPE announce something like this, all other people appearing during Elvis week, are not announced until confirmed.

I agree that EPE should not announce that Lisa Marie or any artist for that matter may appear. Only announce what's confirmed. Having said that, it isn't Lisa Marie's fault that EPE overstepped. I think it would be wonderful if she would appear. She wouldn't have to sing if she feels uncomfortable, just say a few words. However, that is easy for the rest of us to say. I had the privilege of meeting Lisa Marie when she appeared in Toledo & I must say she is a very down to earth person with a great sense of humor & abundance of patience. I would not want to be her for any money. She is damned if she does & damned if she doesn't. I get the feeling from her that she adores her father & is very proud of her legacy; however, she can't be him or like him. She respects his fans & appreciates it when his fans are her fans but she has to walk a mile in her own shoes. Remember what her father said: Don't criticize what you don't understand. Besides, how could she top the 20th anniversary! Singing Don't Cry Daddy with her daddy is awesome & bound to go down in history as the best & most famous father/daughter duet of all time.

When I speak for myself, I think it would be great to have her there. She is the only real relative from Elvis. I dont know why people are so judgemental about people they dont know at all. Of course she misses her dead, any daughter does. Does she need to act like her fathers fans want her too? No. Because it is not possible, what ever you do there are always people nagging and complaining. And I'm sure he is very proud of her, she does the best she can in a crazy world.

Should Lisa Marie be invited to attend 'Elvis The Concert' then I sincerely hope she attends and enjoys herself. However, I also hope that her appearance is not used as a platform to launch her new album as this would be in bad taste. I suspect this will not be the case.

Lisa Marie should try to come up with more innovative and above all "more respect" for elvis fans worldwide who indirectly have turned her into a millionnaire...thanks to us. Also, she should perform and try out some songs with adapted lyrics....And I love HIM so, Trying to get to you, Without him, etc be creative LisaMarie (we know you are and your life has shown us by now that you can show much more respect for elvis fans than before).
